WHERE THE TALENT COMES FROM, by our student Carmen Bueso

The origin of talent. Where does it come from?

The famous question “born or made” has been attempted to answer many times and  one way to do it is researching the genetic characteristics of some athletes and artists. Following this inquiry, scientists have seen relation between the surroundings of the person and the biology of the same. For example, the afro-american sprinters: explained by the natural selection when they were taken to America as slaves since only the fittest ones survived.

So, from the point of view of the epigenetics –science which studies how and why the genes “switch on and off” in some people-, the early experiences in life and the first years of development are essential to create good habits such as food, rest and emotional balance. But it is also necessary to have support nearby and the most important requirement is practice. It is shown that it takes more than ten thousands hours of praxis to become an expert.

Hence, if you are lucky enough to have the right genes, background and you also draw it on, you will be successful.
However, we can follow other way to discover the provenience of the skills in people and it is the one which is related with reincarnation.  One of its values is that when we die, we take back the path we left –spiritual and intellectually- but in some other place and body. Therefore, we can say that talent accumulates in ourselves life to life and it might be there a son that some children are called miracles because they are born with their skills.

To sum up, as there is no right or wrong version, it is needed your own opinion if you want to know (or opine) about how to get talent and skills. But seeing both ways and each discussion, it is easier to define your verdict.

WHERE THE TALENT COMES FROM, by our student Carlos Alarcia

WHERE DOES THE TALENT COME FROM?
There are people who are really good at some things, and we sometimes wonder how they can do that. Is it anything natural? Or is it based on effort since you are a child?
Some scientists say that talent is born with us, and they also insure that it depends on your genetic code. However, there are many people who think that you get it during your life, with practice and big efforts.
On my view point, talent comes from our beginning as well as it comes from practice. For example, there are some theories as "The rule of the 10.000 hours", that confirms that the difference of talent is in the time you have been working on it. Likewise, genes also have importance, and it is said that they show better results, so our genetics is a basic factor that cannot lack in a talented person.

To sum up, we are all different, and for that reason we have special talents that are normally different. So do not worry about not having one, everyone has something that makes them special.

The importance of love

EFFECTS AND CONSEQUENCES OF LOVE AT ALL LEVELS

As recent studies have shown, love is not only a feeling, but it also causes physical reactions that make us happier. We are human beings, and we need to socialize, that is why we need to have human contact. And when we love someone and we are loved back our self-esteem increases. Even when we are ill, we still feel love and we need it.

On the one hand love can help at any situation, so it can also help with illness, because mental illnesses are sometimes caused because we have a bad perception of ourselves, so if we learn to love ourselves we would probably be cured. Also physical illnesses can be affected by love, because when you feel love, you are positive, and with a positive attitude your recovery will be easier. Love is as big as the world and we can love a lot of things and some people, we only have to focus on the good things around us.

On the other hand it can be dangerous because sometimes love and dependence go together. You are happy when you love someone but your happiness cannot rely on that relationship because if it breaks you can be destroyed. Before loving anyone else we have to love ourselves in order to have healthy relationships and not toxic ones. If you are ill and you get sad because of another person, it can affect on your health and you should be careful with it. Love is powerful so we have to take hat power, and use it the best way we can.

All in all, love can cure some illnesses and it can help all of them, because it is in our attitude towards recovery. But we have to love in a healthy way in order to be happy. Love yourself first and love will help you all along your life.

The meaning of the Heart Line

What Does The Heart Line On Your Hand Reveal About Your Life?

A. A heart line that starts below the middle finger signifies that you are an independent, rational, and intelligent person. You aspire to become the natural leader you were born to be and you make smart decisions. You may be inclined towards material things and can be insensitive or cold to others and those you love.
B. A heart line that ends between your middle and index fingers means you are compassionate, kind, trustworthy, and easily give your heart to others. You make common sense decisions and are also careful, sometimes even hesitant, when there are other people involved.
C. The heart line below your index finger means you are content with your normal love life.
D. The heart line that arcs between your index finger and thumb means you are caring, patient, have good intentions and a warm heart.
Palmistry is an ancient art whose roots have been traced back several thousand years to India, where it was born from Hindu astrology and first mentioned in the Chinese book the I Ching. It quickly spread all over Asia and Europe, whereupon Aristotle took an interest in it and passed the knowledge on to Alexander the Great. The King often used it to judge the character of his officers and would closely read the lines of their palms.
The practice has since endured throughout the ages. Today, most people view it as pseudo-science and are quick to dismiss it as superstitious beliefs. Part of why people are so skeptical is that they don’t truly understand it. They only know what they see in the media, and it has been wrongly portrayed in the many books, films, and TV shows that touch upon it. If you are further interested in the subject, this video does an excellent job at describing what the lines and patterns of your heart line signify.

The benefits of using tablets

Recently, tablets sales have increased a lot compared to other devices. The reason is that they are more fashionable and that they process information faster than a smartphone.
Tablets are bigger than smartphones, have better processing capacity, often have more memory and a better operating system. Some tablets recently  developed have the ability to connect to the internet without using wi-fi or even data. Other benefits of tablets are more obvious: they take up less space, are portable (even more so than laptops) and are preferred simply because of trends and aesthetic. It's like walking around with a laptop screen.
This, however, is often misinterpreted. Tablets may be faster than smartphones, but they're still not laptops. In order to make them extra slim, they sacrifice things like disc capacity, core space and cable ports.
In my opinion, tablets are incredible devices, even if they're used for leisure activities, but people should not confuse them with laptops because it might lead to problems when they find out their limitations.

Dedicated to our loving students

Thank you very much for sharing your virtues with us everyday, for letting us touch your life and definitely for changing ours.

Students on the way to rule

The idea of increasing student's power may be taken wrongly. But the previous idea it would have to be stated that  refers to paying more attention to what the student has to say in order to improve the way of how the educative system works.
Taking suggestions more seriously since student's opinions are not very valuable as they seem, would lead to  more focused students as a result of letting them point what should be improved. Furthermore, education is given by the system but the youth is the one who receives that way of teaching so they would have to get used to what is considered more efficient. Nevertheless, the suggestions have to be asked with a bit of common sense, and not just by convenience.
From my point of view, students recommendations are quite important as they are  the only way of knowing if the system is working properly. In fact, they are building their own future by designing student's development.
To sum up, even though it is just another opinion in the crowd and this is not going to arrive anywhere, it would be great that, despite of asking for suggestions, teachers considered to take a look on the way they give their lessons and realizing it by themselves.

Power to the students in schools

As our society keeps evolvig, so does the ducational system, and with it the question about how students could feel better, study better and above all be better.
Giving students power would allow teachers and staff to have a more direct feedback about everything that happens in their school. This also permits students to be abe to change things whenever they feel something is not  working just right.
On the other hand, teachers and staff already get paid to make sure that their students get a good education and to ensure the wellness of their students, so they shoud not need any extra power. Having students with power in their schools would propably lead to some stupid and nonsense solutions to problems once they stopped taking that power seriously.
Above all I think that students should get some power in schools but in a really controlled way to make sure that this power ends up being something positive instead of a solution that would cause more problems.

I've got the power

Nowadays secondary schools release measure after measure to improve student's education quality. These measures have a headline: to give more power to their pupils. In my opinion this is good for us, and I am going to show you why.
Frstly, every approach to students is good because it breaks school monotony and it improves student's educational experience. Also, introducing Whatsapp groups initiative make teachers more human. It is not about making a relationship with teachers, but just approaching both of them. This last year we introduced in our English class this measure and it was so useful because we could share information and coordinate our classes.
Secondly, with giving more power to students, they will know their school inside staff and it will prepare them to future big situations. Every new experience for pupils will just improve them as a person and this can just be good.
And finally, who knows if with these measures we are building future English teachers or future highschool head teachers. We must show them that being a teacher is not being angry all the time.

Do you consider important giving more power to students in schools?

People who really affect the development of the school and how it works are the students. But they are only children, not school headers.
On the one hand, students are those who are developing their brain, for in a nearly future, work in the development of this planet. For that reason, schools might help them to get them better their skills, and that is got with happiness. And at the same time, happiness is got by creating a place built, in some part, with their opinon.
On the other hand, students are children who are developing themselves, like I said before, and, for that reason, they are not able to take important decisions. It is good that students participate by giving their opinon of teachers and lessons, but important decision like to contract a teacher, must be taken by proffesional and formed people.
Definitely, the trick is that head teachers take decisions, but counting with the student's opinion.
